Singer, songwriter, memoirist, Marcus Dagan, deliberately chose the Laurie Beechman Theatre for his show Short Stories: Songs with a Twist, which would be his reintroduction to New York cabaret, and New York cabaret’s to him. This Train Still Runs is the 4th and final CD from this very talented international performer/songwriter. The CD was a year in the making and was a labor of love. You can hear the love in every track.

Marcus has great backing musicians from Bermuda, London, New York and Las Vegas, their commitment to Marcus and his songs is clearly evident.

Marcus Dagan’s one night appearance in Short Stories: Songs with a Twist at the Laurie Beechman Theatre marked the release of his newest CD,
This Train Still Runs. The evening was also an occasion for a book signing (see feature on Dagan in the December issue of Cabaret Scenes). His book, Songs and Their Stories
, is part songbook, part memoir, and it characterizes Dagan’s approach to his music as a vehicle for storytelling.    more...click here
